Parent Classes

Parent classes are designed as a 3-part series and can be broken into single sessions. These are available to individual schools, school districts, community centers, PTAs, libraries and more!

These classes ensure parents and caretakers learn how children develop mathematical understanding. Cutting edge research is shared along with practical tips and fun learning ideas. Sessions are highly interactive and include time to make, play and explore games that build mathematical understanding and can be brought home to engage children at home.

From this class, parents will leave with:
The empowerment to impact their children's future
Practical and fun ideas to support their children's mathematical development
The understanding of what a true "number sense" is and why it is critical
The ability to be a critical consumer of math educational opportunities and products
Homemade games and activities to use with children at home
A great list of games to add to gift wish lists for birthdays and holidays and to build home game collections

This class is geared towards parents or caretakers who are interested in having fun learning with kids and guiding them to be mathematical powerhouses. Age range of students that the class targets is Pre-K through 5th grade. However, anyone interested in mathematics education and anyone with Middle School children who may struggle with mathematics are encouraged to attend.
